Do you have a mentor?

One of my friend popped the question during a brunch.

If I do not have one, it's the end of the world?

No, but it's important.

So what's a mentor, a friend, a role model, a coach?

The mentor is someone who gives you support and advice. He or she believes in you no matter what stage of your life you're in. The mentor shows you your great potential. The mentor suggests you to find your own answers and ways. What kind of guidance do you need?

Now, you are convinced. Who could be your mentor?

Then, try writing down all the people that could be your mentor. Even you know well or not the person, you have to present your request on the attractive way. Give him the desire to meet you and especially to be your mentor. Finally when you meet her or him, try to show the best version of yourself.
Have an exciting and interesting conversation. Follow and stay in touch with this person.

As all relationship, mentorships are a two way street. Your mentor needs to see value in helping you as much as you see value in being helped by them.

The reasons for having a mentor
