Be kind to yourself

 


When you fall, you realize the chaos but it's not the end of the world ... not yet.

Be kind to yourself. How? Here are my five ways to look at the bright side of our failures, to be more generous to ourselves, and more open to our next success.

  •  Accept your failures. Don't hide: face them without shame - whether it's a missed opportunity, a bad decision, a bad idea, or a combination of all three. Nobody is perfect. 
  • Be realistic in your expectations. Have you not set yourself up for failure?
  • Thank yourself for trying. Not that failure is something to be proud of, but you can be happy that you tried.
  • Take a break. Be grateful for your failure, because it's a new way for an opportunity.
  • It's time to move on. Look forward to the possibilities that lie ahead for you.
